Donnie Phillips
RBA West Elite - Head Coach
I’ve been a coach for over 25 years in college, American Legion, as well as showcase teams and getting your team filmed by Play In School is the way to get him in front of a lot of college coaches at a reasonable price.
When the NCAA changed their rules on how many college coaches (2) can be on the road at one time, video became a “must have” for the recruiting process. College coaches don’t have the capabilities and time to get to every venue to see kids play because there are so many tournaments going on at the same time and not enough manpower to cover all the events. This is why having your players filmed by Play In School is crucial.
I have also seen that video allows the recruiting process to speed up! When a college coach gets to sit in their office and see a player’s skill set, it allows them to get on a player immediately instead of waiting weeks or months to see a player in person.
At the end of the day Play In School – College Recruiting Videos has helped a lot of my kids get recruited by schools that would have never gotten to see them in action on the field.
I am a firm believer that Play In School is the way to go for video. It is affordable and a great resource for all coaches and parents to get their players in front of college coaches.
Rich Graham
Virginia Cardinals Head Coach & RBA South Owner
Using Play In School video for our Virginia Cardinals players was an incredibly valuable tool that we utilized repeatedly in all of their recruiting processes. We were able to video all of the players in 1 place that which was convenient as well as aesthetically consistent for coaches to evaluate.
Having the videos made it very easy and effective to get coaches to see the players they had interest in. It's one thing to have a conversation about a player and what they can do and it's another to be able to click on a link and see it for yourself. I know for a fact that having the website with all of our players on it was something coaches really liked and appreciated. It also was very effective in marketing kids to programs that are located all around the country who normally would never have been able to evaluate our players.
Simply put, it's another very valuable tool in our tool box that we can use even during the off season when we aren't playing. The recruiting season never ends when you have a high quality video that a coach can see and evaluate.
Play In School was money very well spent for the Virginia Cardinals for sure.
Thanks for all you do above and beyond the videos Richie. you are an asset to these kids and I appreciate and recognize it. It's a thankless job that we do at times and I want you to know that I see you.

“Play In School is a great tool for the High School athlete wishing to provide college coaches with their personal information and an initial look at their skills. I receive many interest letters and videos throughout the year, that don’t provide me with the information I am looking for in the recruiting process. In order to save valuable time and money, I rarely will go out and evaluate a player without first seeing a video of his skills. The Play In School DVD’s and website give me an opportunity to make an initial evaluation of a potential prospect along with his personal information, which saves me time and money in the recruiting process. Play In School is a great service for athletes of all abilities to take advantage of.”

“As a college coach and recruiting coordinator, "Play in School" is a valuable tool for me in the recruiting process. It provides me with the necessary information I need in order to recruit. It helps me to find the players I think can play for me by saving me time and makes me more efficient as a recruiter. It sets players apart from the hundreds upon hundreds of players that send me information. I would recommend that any player serious about playing college baseball use "Play in School" to help them open the door and set them apart from their competition.”

"The DVD's and websites developed by Play in School have exactly what you're looking for as a college coach. The DVD's are quick and precise in length and footage and the websites have all the information you could need on a player. It's a great and helpful resource and we look forward to working with them in the future."

“Play in School is a tremendous tool for high school athletes to use during the recruiting process. As a high school coach, I want my players to get the best exposure they can get but I also want them to invest time in the recruiting process. With Play in School they are a part of the process but also get the exposure they desire. As a former college coach, I didn't like the Recruiting Services because the player's information was being sent to a large number of schools and the player did very little work. With Play in School the player has to do some work and the information is sent to the colleges by the athlete and not the service. It is a great opportunity for athletes to use.”

Kevin Carroll - Goochland High School - Goochland, Va Class of 2010
Dear Rich,
Kevin has known for quite some time that he wanted to do whatever it took to play at the next level. He didn’t want his last game in high school to be the end of baseball.
Kevin has played Travel, AAU, and Showcase ball for a long time. He has gone to numerous camps and workouts trying to get noticed. A local college coach talking to the kids one day said “I recruit kids who first recruit me. Don’t sit back and wait for someone to come knocking on your door”. Well, that sank in, and with your guidance and video resume, we finally realized what we needed to do to help Kevin achieve his goal.
The college recruiting process is a daunting challenge. Not knowing where and how to start can be overwhelming. With your friendship, personal guidance, and video resume,
we felt like we were finally heading in the right direction. Your service was truly the best investment we made in helping Kevin achieve his goal of playing ball in college. You helped us save tens of thousands of dollars, and because of that, I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Your friends,
Mike & Vickie Carroll

"Play In School was instrumental in our son's college recruiting process. In addition to a terrific DVD that our son sent to prospective coaches and an individual website that he could direct coaches to, Rich Prado provided sage and objective advice about how the process works and "been there-done that" thoughtful responses to many questions along the way. Our son started to work with Rich prior to his junior year and by the next summer, he had multiple opportunities. He ended up committing early to a great school where he is excited about playing and will get a solid education as well. We strongly recommend Play In School to any family with a child who is interested in playing a college sport."

"Play in School - College Recruiting Videos got my kid noticed by numerous college scouts. It turned a small investment into more than $150,000 in college award money! Flat out the best baseball dollars we spent."
Donny and Becky Ostrowski
Wade Ostrowski - Hermitage High School - Richmond, Va Class of 2009
“On behalf of the entire Ostrowski family, we would like to sincerely thank Richie Prado for his personal involvement in assisting with our college search. Our son, Wade Ostrowski, would not have gotten as much 1:1 exposure to college baseball coaches and scouts without his expertise.
Coach Prado created a detailed professional video demonstrating Wade’s offense, defensive and pitching skills including stats to send to college coaches. More importantly, he guided us in the “how-to” process for selecting and contacting college coaches with success. Coach Prado’s personal college baseball career allowed him the edge for first-handed experience. He contacted many of his college colleagues for Wade to assist with getting his “foot in the door” to make our college recruiting a success.
Without the assistance of Coach Richie Prado, Wade would not have been awarded the many opportunities for a successfully college and baseball recruitment as he has had over the last several months. Our family truly values his professional services and guidance but more importantly his friendship.”

Shelbie Hall - Hermitage High School - Richmond, Va Class of 2009
“The video created for my daughter by Rich Prado was an exceptional tool in getting our daughter accepted to a college. The video was very well done! Very well put together! We submitted the video to quite a few colleges and the school of her choice recruited her on her video alone. It was a great experience! The video was very professional and a very useful tool for us! The video earned her a position on the Ferrum 2010 softball team!!!”
Ryan Swartz - Hermitage High School - Richmond, Va Class 2009
“As a senior in High School, getting the attention of a college coach can be challenging. The in-depth knowledge and personal experience of Coach Prado along with the baseball video opened doors and opportunities for me. Almost every coach I have talked to has asked to see video, and having the video that Coach Prado made me has been a huge help. I sincerely thank Coach Prado for being instrumental in my college baseball recruiting efforts. Without him, I would not have been successful in having the opportunity to play college baseball.”

TJ Wilson - Hayfield Secondary – Alexandria, Va Class of 2009
“With the Basketball season starting in just weeks, I wanted to get DVDs made of my son to send out to College Coaches. Through a recommendation, I got Rich Prado’s name. In the short time provided, Rich produced High Quality DVD’s for me to send out. From the very first time I met Rich, he showed me that he is a very Professional person and the quality of his work is unbelievable. Since Receiving DVDs, I have passed his name on to my other friends who have kids participating in sports. Thanks again Rich for a job WELL DONE.”
Tod Daneker
TJ Daneker - Atlee High School - Mechanicsville, Va, Class of 2009
“TJ has signed with Chowan to play baseball and went down this past weekend for orientation and to enroll in classes I truly appreciate your efforts in assisting in getting him there. Without the skills video I do not believe he would be playing baseball next year not to mention receiving several scholarships to play there. The investment was well worth it.”

Alec Keller - Douglas Freeman High School - Richmond, Va, Class of 2010
The Play in School video created by Mr. Prado helped to open discussions with several schools in which my son was interested in attending. The video provided a first look at his skills leading to phone calls and school visits. In the end, the school that my son will be attending is one of the schools whose interest began with the video.
I highly recommend Mr. Prado to create this necessary tool as part of the recruiting process. Working with him was a pleasure and great experience.
