I try to provide a ton of value each week with #PISTV to the baseball community. This week I want to remind everyone about my “day job”.

This fall we are already scheduled to hit the road to film some great organizations. When I started thinking about those groups I saw a common theme amongst their leadership.
Lets look at 3 organizations…
- Pride of the Diamond – Organization run by Tim Neiman. Coach Neiman is the Head Coach at DeSales University and currently sits at No 16 all time wins as a D3 Head Coach with 655 wins.
- IMG Academy – Dan Simonds is the Director of Baseball at IMG. Dan’s resume includes over 15 years of professional baseball & D1 coaching experience prior to IMG. The rest of the staff at IMG reads like a “who’s who” of coaches including former MLB All Stars.
- Power Prospect Showcase by BIC – This upcoming camp run by 2 former MLB players Jack McDowell (1993 Cy Young) & Jeff Schaefer will include film on every guy.
The common theme is that leadership with the most baseball experience understand the ROI (return on investment) for having professionally done video on EVERY guy is tremendous. These guys understand that a simple tool can help them help their players. And that is all that matters. I’d say it’s fair to say the guys listed above know as many college coaches as anyone in the country and coaches trust their judgement. But at the end of the day, it still helps the guy on the other end of the phone to SEE a kid swing or throw. With a simple text or email the college coach is able to SEE the player. Now the conversation can get much deeper.
